Bethany sighed as she tried to make out what’s in front of her, which is impossible since the room is covered in darkness.
But from what she had counted in her mind, it’s been 24 hours since she last tasted the antidote, and it’s been 24 hours since she’d been left in this dirty, stinky, lightless cell and it’s been 24 hours since she saw Sebastian.
Bethany sighed again as she closed her eyes. Not that it helps anyway since the cell is darker than black.
Bethany let her head fall back and a small ‘thud’ sounded from where her head and the wall met.
“Ow.”
Then she heard some shuffling.
Bethany sat up, alert.
She breathe as quietly as possible to not alert anyone and give away her act. She listened for more sounds and she hear some almost silent pit-a-pat of footsteps.
