“Ah, honey,” Laura said as she came over to me. She sat down next to me and pulled me into an embrace and just held me as I cried. She didn’t say anything, she just held me.
It felt like we were in that position forever, soon my tears started to slow down and were coming to a stop. Laura pulled away from the embrace and looked me in my eyes and moved the hair away from my face.
“Take a deep breath and hold it.” She said to me, So I did.
“Now slowly exhale.” She told me. I did as she said.
“Better?” She said, I nodded my head, it did help to take that breath, it had a calming effect on me.
