A few days after the funeral, Bruce and Jude decided to have a family gathering to celebrate their wives’ lives and achievements. Also, to remember the good deeds Meredith and Anna have accomplished.
During breakfast, Bruce told everyone that the Smiths were coming for dinner. “Lindon, you’re going back to the city tomorrow, right?”
“Yes, sir.” replied Lindon.
“How about you?” Bruce asked Thomas’s ex-wife Alana.
Wiping her lips, Alana replied, “I haven’t booked the tickets yet, but we’re planning to go back the day after tomorrow, so Maggie and Otis can have some time with Hallie and Thomas.”
“Why so soon?” Bruce asked Alana again. “Oh, because Otis has an admission exam next week,” she replied.
