The sound of glass breaking woke me with a jerk and I sat upright immediately only to be confronted by Trev. He held a finger up to his mouth telling me to be quiet then he jerked his head into my bedroom. Fear choked me as I realized someone had broken into my house. I nodded my understanding and accepted the clothes from him. As I hurried to get dressed, I noticed that Trev had also included his shirt in with my clothes. I made a mental note to thank him, not really wanting to meet the intruder in just my sports bra.
Trev crept towards the bedroom so quietly that he could have been a jungle cat on the prowl. If there wasn't an intruder in my bedroom, I might have taken a moment to enjoy the sight of a shirtless Trev looking even more dangerous than whatever was coming into my house.
