Lost in her thoughts when Ines entered Aidan’s chamber she found him laying on the bed facing the left wall. His back was towards her.
His shoulders were stiff, he wasn't sleeping. It didn't take long for Ines to comprehend that her darling Dragon King's anger had returned.
Ines’s lips curled in a mischievous smile as she removed her shoes and stalked closer to the bed. “Is my darling Dragon King furious with his Mad Witch?” Ines whispered as she sat on her knees behind him.
Leaning forward Ines touched the side of his face. Aidan released a shuddered breath at her touch as if he was having difficulty in breathing. His eyes were shut tightly, his jaw clutched and his lips were set in a firm line.
Her Dragon King was indeed angry with her.
