The small cabin silent except for the crackling of the fire in the fireplace. I leaned against the wall, arms crossed as I stared at Ella’s unconscious form on the bed.
She passed out in that building so I brought her to a nearby cabin. I was a bit scared that she had died but the faint rise and fall of her chest proved she was alive. She looked fragile, almost peaceful in the but I couldn’t let that deceive me.
