Cam sat Tad down to explain what would happen at the party. “Tomorrow night will test both our acting skills. Everyone there will be armed, except you and me.”
“Everyone?” Tad exclaimed. He looked worried. “Shouldn’t I be carrying, too?” He frowned.
“No. It’s better if you don’t,” Cam said, shaking her head. “You might bump up against the wrong persons and they’d feel it. Besides, that sleek, new, designer tuxedo Laura Stuard bought her boy is much too tight.”
Tad burst into laughter. “Oh, Laura! You spoil me so.”
“Nice, isn’t it?” Cam, or rather Laura, ran her hand through his hair. “You’ll have some fantastic clothes to wear when you get to college, as long as you don’t gain weight. The girls will be very impressed.”
Tad glanced down before he started to blush.
