She had called Brian when she got back to Vancouver from her stay at Laura’s property. By then she knew what Laura would wear and what she’d say about her home.
“Did you have a good time?” he asked.
“I loved it. I learned so much. And I love Evelyn and Max,” she told him. “I can’t believe that place. There’s so much of it.” Evelyn and Max were the caretakers of Laura’s property.
