I slowly woke up to the sounds of quiet voices. My eyes were too heavy to open so I just listened.
“She’s just as stubborn as you are,” a familiar voice said with a hint of anger.
“Yes, I understand that but, she is our daughter so she will have our traits. That includes my stubbornness and your beauty,” I could hear his voice change from being annoyed to charming. I felt a small movement at the end of the bed by my feet.
“I’m sorry, I am just upset. How could she force a transition like that? Especially when it’s only her second time,” a soothing hand was placed upon mine. I didn’t know you should force a transition, it’s not like I wasn’t in danger or anything, so I did what I needed to do to get away. I tried to say something, but my body was too heavy. I couldn’t even flinch.
