PAOLO found me outside the door while sobbing. He immediately enclosed me in his arms and I leaned my head on his chest and put my arms around him as well.
I stopped crying after a few minutes. Paolo held my face and kissed my nose as he said “Babe, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know they were coming.”
I closed my eyes and I felt him plant a kiss on my face. When I opened my eyes, he was looking at me intently.
Paolo: “Do you want to go home?”
I just nodded and he took my hand pulling me towards his car. We were both quiet on the drive. When we got home, I headed straight to our bedroom. I took off all my clothes and wore one of Paolo’s shirts and headed straight to bed. He was looking at me while I was doing it.
I was lying on my side and I felt Paolo lying down behind me and he put an arm
