Nathan's POV
I knew Crystal was about to do something but something stopped what she was about to do then she ripped herself out of my hold.
What just happened? Why is she suddenly acting like this? Sometimes I think she's purposely doing this to me because she knows how I feel about her.
She shook her head and looked back at me, regret flashing through her gorgeous eyes. I knew I looked disappointed and hurt so I quickly masked the emotions before she could say something.
"I despise wolves, Nathan, you know this... I'm sorry to disappoint but you're gonna have to find a different mate." She said through clenched teeth and I swear I felt my heart shatter.
"But I- Wait, you're rejecting me?" I asked, vulnerable.
