CORA'S POV
Maia had done a lot already by assisting me to get into the palace. I was grateful to her and I did not like the fact she was trying to make up for my exit from the palace.
It was not her fault, I had let my guard down and Galena had Maia where she wanted her. I did not expect her to do anything else. I would have done the same to try and save my mother.
After several hours of her leaving me, Maia had just entered, I asked her to get me some ginger and olive oil. She handed them over to me.
"What took you so long?" I asked
"Ginger and olive oil have been made scarce in the palace, Galena ordered it so," she said
"How did you get them?"I asked
"My mama prepared King castor's favorite soup with ginger and olive oil and was stashed away in the store after he died by me
