Chapter 25I woke a little after two A.M. and wandered to a chair at the window. I was restless, thinking about the Wolfe project. Rummaging through my bag, looking for notes from my last meeting with Aziz, I came across a white sheet of paper with two lines typed in the center. Watch this, followed by a computer link. It was not like Tad to type a note. He always wrote by hand. I found my laptop and entered the link, imagining a dungeon, young men chained to walls.
On the screen was a TCR clock, running like a stopwatch. I presumed it was part of the camera’s recording timer. The first shot was at night. First grainy blackness, then two car headlights coming down a country road. The TCR vanished, and a shirtless young man was on screen, inside of a trailer.
