Chapter 8Arthur and I began regularly dating after that, not seeing anyone else but each other. And not every night, due to my work schedule, but often. Most of the time I went to his house, because, duh, it was so much better than where I lived.
A couple months in, we were relaxing on his couch together, watching a movie, when he mentioned having me come to his parents’ home for dinner the next free Saturday I had.
“Uh-oh. Meeting the parents huh?” I joked.
“You met my dad.”
“Under not so pleasant circumstances, yeah.” I nodded.
Arthur gave me one of his intense looks. “You don’t want to? Too soon?”
“Nah, don’t be silly. I’d love to come. Let me check my schedule when my next Saturday off work is and let you know. Hell, you met Pam.”
