Sarah’s Pov
It’s dark when I wake up again. I waddle to my bathroom and wash my face with cold water and then go downstairs to see everyone sitting in the garden. Mike and Brad are playing basketball in the small court there. It’s where I first fell in love with Brad. I push the memory of my mind with enormous effort. Mom and dad are drinking wine, watching them play. I go and sit near them.
"Mom! I loved my room! Thank you!" I kiss her, once I am all comfortable.
"I didn’t do it."
"Huh?"
"It was Brad."
"Oh."
I don’t know what to say to that. I watch them playing. Brad's winning, obviously. He was always the go-getter. I try not to look at him playing and fail miserably. Brad sees me watching him and starts giving Mike a hard time with the ball. He was always a show-off, the a
