He doesn’t realize he’s drifted off to sleep until he wakes to soft, insistent kisses. He grins, a little breathless. He likes the way this feels, being kissed awake. “Paul,” he sighs, moving his arm where it lays across his forehead.
Paul takes his wrist to hold his arm above his head. “Shh.”
Adam opens his eyes and finds himself staring into that translucent gaze.
“Hey there,” Paul purrs. He has Adam’s other wrist now, too, and raises it above Adam’s head as well to pin him down. “You waking up?”
“Yeah.” Adam strains against Paul’s hands. Paul leans down over him, his chest resting lightly against Adam’s own. It’s a pleasant sensation. Around them the room has darkened, plunged in muted amber that’s more shade than light. Behind Paul, Adam sees the room reflected in the large windows
