And Javes had enough.
“Come on, Tali, let’s get you some clothes.” There were no clothes in the room, and the wet footsteps indicated that Tali had run here straight from the bath.
Tali’s clothes in the bathroom were disgusting, so Javes ran upstairs, grabbed an old tunic and trousers from his wardrobe, went back down and threw the bundle next to Tali on the couch.
His mother remained in the hallway, her arms crossed over her chest.
Tali slowly unwound her legs and stepped into the shorts. She was very skinny, but her figure did seem rather full for her age. He had noticed that before. The button on the shorts barely closed. He had not noticed that before, but he hadn’t been looking for it either. She threw the shirt over her head.
“Come.” Javes held his hand out to her. She took it.
