"Renaldo didn't seem to interested in the meeting." Jace says, breaking the silence that had settled over the car.
It's true. When Alpha Renaldo and I decided to meet to renegotiate the alliance, I had assumed that he had some interest in the matter.
I was wrong. The agreement was made about fifty years ago with different Alphas, but all Renaldo wanted to do was make it more modern.
If anything it was a resign of the edited treaty.
"Well it has been peaceful between our packs for years. Why fix what isn't broke?" I ask watching as the trees pass by us.
