I wake in the morning and stretch. I kiss Phoenix gently on the lips, he smiles in his sleep and releases me and turns his back to me. As I start to scramble out of bed I am suddenly pulled back into a big hard chest. I nearly have a heart attack, I really thought he was asleep.
"Where do you think you are going?"
"School"
"Do you really think I am going to let you go back to that place?"
My entire face twists up at that comment. I turn in his arms to face him.
"What do you mean, I am going"
"You are not going anywhere that I can't protect you"
My eyes narrow further.
"Phoenix you are blowing this way out of proportion, no one is going to be stupid enough to do anything at school again, I refuse your request and I am going back"
