POV
Everything was coming together… To think Tate played right into my hand.
When he came to me two days ago it was like a light went off in my head.

There’s a knock on my office door.
I go out of t****k and sit up straight. “Come in…”
I’m surprised to see Tate.
“Hey, are you busy I wanted to talk to you about something?” he asks.
I shake my head and gesture for him to take a seat. I secretly recorded our conversation.
“What did you want to speak to me about?” I ask.
He sighs. “I wanted to invest in Natasha Davidson’s store, but most of my money is tied up right now…” he says regretfully.
I pause for a beat. “How much do you need?” I ask.
“Twenty million. That should be a great investment, right?” he asks.
