The next morning Ted was up early, earlier than usual. Erik was on his mind. Ted took Dixie for her morning walk. He had class at eleven. Professors frowned on cell phones interrupting their stimulating lectures. Students were required to turn them off. Ted didn’t want to miss his friend’s call. Especially not now he’d seen Greg go to Erik’s motel room the night before. So if Erik hadn’t called before Ted had to leave for class, then Ted would call him.
