It flashed through Ina’s mind that perhaps they should wait before they got married and then she knew that there was no point in doing anything so unnecessary.
They belonged to each other and they were already, through the Blessing of God, one in their minds, their hearts and their souls and a Service of the Church would make very little difference except that she would bear his name.
Once again he knew what she was thinking and he said,
“I thought a great deal before I found you and, in fact, I had many long sleepless nights in which to do so.”
“You have not – yet told me how you – found me.”
“It is immaterial now that I have,” he answer
