When I got to my room, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. It was already after 11:00 pm, so I was surprised to see Crystal’s name flash across the screen, when I pulled the phone from my pocket. I pressed the answer button and placed the phone to my ear.
“Hey Beautiful, is everything okay?” I asked her with surprise and worry in my tone.
“Yes, I’m okay. Sorry to call so late but I wanted to check that you made it back home safely and to talk with you for a minute before I go to bed. I can wait until tomorrow if you are busy or tired.” She said with a small voice and I could hear her heart racing and the nervousness in her tone.
“I’m never too busy or too tired for you. What do you want to talk about?” I said as I let out a breath, I hadn’t
