Flo’s mouth dropped open and her face turned red. But what could she say? She was caught. She snapped her gum and stomped out of the kitchen.
I burst out laughing. “I can’t believe you said that to her,” I said to Daniel.
He shrugged. “She had it coming,” he said. “She’s always telling me to stay away from you and all that. So I figured a little payback was in order. Besides, they are worse than we are, knocking over boxes and stuff. At least we are quiet.”
