The words had left my lips in more certainty than I was sure I’d felt in years. And it had been to the ears of every single person watching.
She seemed stunned at first. Then slowly, her face darkened. My heart twisted a little when she leaned away from my touch.
“How do you…why are you so sure of this?”
I held on tighter, giving her hand a little squeeze. “I’m sure of this, Ella. You are my mate. Don’t tell me you don’t feel it too.”
She seemed at a loss for words.
I couldn’t back away now. Not when every single thing I’d been so desperate to say was tumbling out of me at a speed faster than I could make sense of.
