Silas
The lie hadn’t slid as easily from Silas’s tongue as others had in the past. Keeping the truth from Troy didn’t sit right in his gut, but if Troy knew what he had planned and put into motion, he would be pissed. Troy’s integrity would demand Silas end what he’d started to bury the r****t who deserved to have the skin sliced from his body until he bled out.
And Silas wouldn’t agree to Troy’s wants. Couldn’t. His protective instincts were animalistic in nature, uncontrolled by thought processes and self-awareness. He would hurt anyone who threatened those he loved.
He wouldn’t hesitate if faced with needing to do so again. If Troy knew the darker side of Silas’s character, he would run for the hills as any sane person would.
