A forensics expert took the stand after lunch, but like the medical examiner, all the evidence of a physical fight and blood splatter…none of it could prove Silas wasn’t acting in self-defense.
Silas rested easier in his chair, regardless of his consciousness of the delicious man beside him, but he knew the case against him was far from buttoned up. One man still lay between him and his own time in the stand.
