IN THE MORNING at the breakfast table, Sheydu informed us that there had been activity on the platform on the other side of the valley overnight.
Anyu showed me a couple of vid clips with lights moving against a dark background. In one, I could just make out a human figure leaving a vehicle.
The vehicles were still there, Anyu said, but the people appeared to have disappeared.
I asked, “Do you think there is a passage that goes into the ground and that links up with the community at the lake?”
“We have no evidence for that. They could be the same people or a different, unrelated group. They could be a team performing maintenance on the relay stations up there.”
