I could have wisely used one earned sick leave today but I didn't. Instead I chose to come to work despite my splitting headache and push myself to the limit of exhausion.
In fairness naman sakin, pinakinabangan pa rin ako ng company even when I'm not feeling well. I finished two reports that were due today and even made the memos for circulation next week.
I thought I could at least file for an undertime but even if I told my boss I'm feeling awful and I need to come home early, she asked me to finish the individual memos on salary adjustment for each employee of the company.
When I noticed it was already dark outside, I looked past the pile of papers on top of my table and checked the bottom right corner of my computer for the time.
