Anton decided that Aunt Kerry was right—he had to get it over with.
The problem with ‘getting it over with’, though, was that his body didn’t agree with his brain, and every time he opened his mouth to tell Jude that they needed to talk about something privately, his guts would shrivel up into a tight ball of fear and pain, and he’d just close it again without saying a word. And it was awful, because everyone knew something was up—even Walsh was giving him funny looks—but Anton couldn’t just force himself to do it. And if he couldn’t even get up the courage to tell Jude they had to talk, how was he ever going to get up the courage to tell Jude…tell Jude…
