Six weeks later ….
I stood directly under the hot water letting it warm me up. It was so cold in here this morning that I had to turn up the thermostat before getting in the shower. If I was freezing it meant Benny probably was too. These past six weeks had been long. My face had finally healed enough to where the leftover bruising could be covered with makeup. Yesterday was the first night I was able to sleep flat and without being propped up on a mountain of pillows. Every day I was getting closer to being completely back to normal.
