I looked out the car window and stared at the house in front of me. It had been a little over two years since I had seen my mother in person. Since we had gotten engaged Javi had begun pushing me to rebuild the relationship. I tried to make him understand that it was hard to rebuild something that was never really there to begin with. He just couldn’t wrap his head around my situation considering he had an amazing mother and father. So he couldn’t relate even if he tried.
