“Ocean, glad to see you,” Liu points to the chair that I’ve familiarized sitting on, and I quietly take a seat. I place my bag near my lap and stare at her in anticipation.
“So, what up?” She asks casually sitting on her chair and I let out a big sigh. I avoid her eye and stare at the ceiling instead, it seemed a lot more interesting, a lot less threatening.
“Um, a few days ago I got asked out on a date.”
“A date? Really?” I nod.
“With who?” She leans forward with her elbow on her knee, her head on her palm as she stares at me intently.
“A man named Elias,”
“How’d you two meet?”
“Well I knew him previously . . . we had a one night stand,” her eyebrows lift slightly for a moment before her face returned neutral.
“How long ago was this? You never told me.”
“Not very long,” I shrug
