Personally, I think I'm just bad with friends.
Maybe I didn't need any.
My mind danced on the thought of Ophelia and Mr. Vatore's hand on mine throughout the entire drive. The radio played idly.
As soon as we arrived I pulled my hands from his, and cleared my throat.
"Thanks, Rex," I mutter quietly, grabbing my bag and pushing the door open.
I was about to shut the door when Trevor stopped me.
"I'm excited to be there for your office party tomorrow, I'll be bringing some friends, just to ensure that everything is fine."
He smiled sweetly but he knew exactly what he was doing.
"And Carina, I hope?" His smile faltered slightly, and I smirk, knowing I won. I shut the door and disappeared into my workplace.
But did I win?
I just held hands with my ex . . . Who's engaged.
