The next morning I woke up and got ready in my burgundy pinstripe pantsuit with a black shirt and straightened my hairs and applied a light amount of makeup with wine-red lipstick. I picked up my tote bag and the case file and walked out of the room.
I don't want to think about what happened last night. I won't let it affect me. I will act as nothing happened. I was taking steps downstairs when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and a huge smile formed on my face.
" Hello, dad. Did you and mom reach your destination safely? Sorry, I slept last night and forget to call you." I said.
