Claudia's POV:
I wanted to scream! I wanted to cry my eyes out and I wanted more than anything to go back in time to before this all happened to keep this outcome from coming to fruition. I felt like I was going to start ripping my hair out and drag my nails across my face at the way my body and mind felt.
"Claudia?" I heard Bella say softly, wanting desperately for me to continue with what I was telling her but I just couldn't. My mind was just all over the place.
"This wasn't supposed to happen," I whispered as I clenched my eyes closed.
"What? What isn't supposed to happen?" I heard her ask, still waiting for me to continue.
"I can't be the end of the line," I said even softer as I placed my face in my hands and breathed in deeply to try to calm myself down.
