Chapter 18

He sat up straight in his chair as Sang strutted towards him, swaying her hips way too much. He gulped at the sight of the seductress who was strutting her way towards him on purpose. His seductress. His heart thumped in his rib cage crazily like it might pop out of its cardiac membrane any moment now. His eyes and body followed each and every moment she made as she came around the table and stood in front of his chair. Her eyes wavered for a moment to him and the door behind her shoulders, as if she was contemplating an escape. Oh please leave, before I do something we both might regret later. He thought with a suppressed groan "Are you scared of me?" she asked c*****g her head to a side. Eli stared at her for a while, without replying which just made her grow in anticipation and bite her lip, "Why would you say that?" he asked clenching his fist to stop himself from grabbing her by her waist and ravishing her on the table, "Why were you behaving so oddly at dinner?" she asked narrowing her eyes at him, which made her look all the more sexy. She was like that sexy school teacher which every teenage kid fantasized about, so hot and... "Eli?" she softly called his name, pulling him out of his fantasy world, "No", he cleared his throat before turning back towards his PC to check on his stocks report. "Then why are you behaving like this?" she asked, or more like whined like a stubborn kid "Look, I told you, I am not scared of you", he snapped irritatingly which he thought would make her leave, but she didn't. "Aren't you scared of me after I attacked you that night?" she asked widening her eyes innocently. She seemed genuinely confused making Eli smile at her. Could he ever hate her if she behaves so innocently? "Look at you Ace. You are half my size, literally. I think I can easily take you down", he chuckled shaking his head, "Then why didn't you?" she asked c*****g an eyebrow at him "Well", he shut his PC off, knowing this conversation would take a while than he expected and walked to the nearby couch which looked upon the floor to ceiling glass windows, "I was taken by surprise", he sighed staring at her figure from top to toe, "You don't look like someone who would fight back. I thought you were all, 'be peaceful, violence is not the answer' kind of person. You attacking me was a surprise to me. And I am worried about receiving more and more such unpleasant surprises, but I am not scared", his lips tugged at the memory, "I think that violent side of yours started to grow on me, cause I am always looking forward to it. Each and every second", he grinned at her flushed face, "I am a peaceful person. I am a vegetarian", she snapped at him angrily. His grin morphed into a face splitting smile. "Hmm", he hummed crossing his hands across his chest and staring at her flushed face, "I still don't believe that you are not scared of me", she muttered under her breath, but in that night of silence he heard each and every word of it. He sighed audibly, "Should I prove it to you?" he asked c*****g his eyebrow at her. Before she had the time to answer, he pulled her by her hand onto his lap and slammed his lips on hers. Sang gasped at the surprise attach which he took on advantage and plunged his tongue into her lips, deepening the kiss all the more. *** I shouldn't have come here. No, I should have just gone to my room and slept under those warm blankets like a good girl. Bad girls who wander in the house at night get ravished like this. s**t! s**t! s**t! She chanted to keep herself from falling into the limbo of eternal pleasure that Eli tempted her. He kissed like a pro, which of course he was, but at that moment, she didn't mind. Not once did any thoughts of disgust or regret flashed in her mind when Eli was robbing her mouth like a savage. She blamed alcohol for it, but deep down something told her that it was entirely something else causing these weird feelings in her. When they both came up for air, she panted like a dog in summer while he remained completely composed. He traced her face with his lips, not leaving a kiss or an inch of her skin untouched. It was as if he was painting her face with his lips, stroking gently with feathery touches. "I am not scared of you", he whispered in her ear, nibbling gently "But yeah", he added moving away from her ear and cupping her face to look into his eyes, "I am scared that I might hurt you, your feelings and most importantly your heart". His eyes shined with sincerity and honesty which she never saw in them. "I am not good for you and I can only bring the worst out of you, which is what I am scared of", he leaned his forehead against hers and sighed. "I don't want you to hate me Ace", he whispered and closed his eyes, falling asleep. She remained in that position, for don't know how long. She was frozen by his words. She never would have guessed all this about him if she didn't come here tonight. And suddenly she didn't regret coming here anymore. Surely Eli was not the ideal husband material, but she could never hate him. No matter what, she would always cherish this vulnerable side of him and try to accept him. Hate was a word too strong for her. She wondered why Eli thought she would hate him, but brushed the thought aside. *** Eli was on his way to the 'den' the next morning. He didn't know how he ended up in his room last night, cause all he could remember was kissing Ace and then talking to her. He didn't remember falling asleep or going back to his room. Did she put me back to bed? He thought but shook that idea off. She might be strong, but not that strong to actually carry him to bed. May be she took help of one of the guards outside the condo! His conscious reasoned with him. Yeah! That was more possible. Since the time the scandal has released into the media, he kept a couple of guards outside, just in case something odd happened. If someone could break into his office and get a recording then breaking into his house was a piece of cake. And he would only let that happen over his dead body. He clenched his fists to quench his anger as his car zoomed into the outskirts of the city, where there was hardly any traffic. His investigating team which worked parallel to his legal team found out about the leak which was made to the media. And the fact that his own secretary of two years backstabbed him hurt him a lot. Kevin Brawley dug his own grave when he decided to rat out his boss and his private conversations to the media for a few bucks. Now he would have to face the wrath of his demon of a boss. "Where is he?" he asked the guards who were posted outside the warehouse which was the 'den' where Eli did all his interrogations. "In the basement boss", the guard replied and Eli proceeded to the basement. It was brightly lit but very sparsely furnished, just right for the purpose. A pained groan welcomed him followed by a 'knock' of knuckled against bones. He smirked knowing that his men were doing his biddings well. "Good afternoon Kevin. Fancy seeing you here", Eli said in his charming voice which sounded deadly in the given circumstances. There was a man sitting on a chair in the middle of the room with his hands and legs bound to the chair and a mask covering his face. He couldn't see it, but Eli knew that his mouth was gagged as well. As the men saw their boss approaching they removed the black mask which was covering his face. Kevin blinked rapidly to adjust to the bright lighting, but as his vision adjusted and he saw who was approaching him, he gulped in fear. "Not happy to see me?" Eli mocked raising his eyebrows. Kevin's eyes widened in fear. He saw Eli as a composed, cool headed, over confident business man but never like this – full of emotions and expressions, that simple thought scared him, because Eli with so many expressions looked sadistic. "Neither am I", Eli said making tsking sounds as he approached Kevin in leisure steps. A guard placed a chair facing Kevin's for Eli, which he took. "I must say, you greatly disappointed me, Kevin. I actually liked you, you know", he pursed his lips staring at the bloodied face in front of him. "You were there with me since I took over as the CEO and now you chose to betray me?" Eli raised his eyebrows at Kevin who shook in fear, pulling at his restraints too free himself, "I won't take offense cause I know being faithful is far more difficult than ratting out someone you closely know. It's okay. I forgive you", he said crossing his arms with a shrug. Kevin paused at his attempts to break free and stared up at Eli in surprise. "Oh No", Eli shook his head suddenly, "What am I saying?" he said as if talking to himself, "I cannot forgive you, can I?" he c****d his head to a side as if making a tough call, "I mean, you literally sold me out to those media vultures – you don't know what kind of bastards they are – and because of you I lost a very important deal with our Abu dabhi clients", he hummed narrowing his eyes at Kevin. He traced his finger along the cut across Kevin's cheek, which was fresh and still oozed blood, "You know how much that deal was worth right?" he increased the pressure on the wound by digging his finger into it, making him hiss with pain, "It cost me 50 million dollars", he stared right into Kevin's eyes, as he traced his finger across Kevin's neck making him pant in fear, "And I don't think your life is more valuable than 50 million dollars", he whispered against his face which made Kevin sweat like a pig, "Do. You. Think. You. Worth. More. Than. That?" he asked stressing each word as he digged deep into his bullet wound on his fore arm, making him yelp in pain loudly. Kevin cried out loud as Eli plunged his finger into the fleshy wound, "Hmm... I don't think you think so either", he pulled out his finger from the wound and cleaned it against Kevin's tattered shirt. "Sorry Kevin", Eli sighed in the most unapologetic way possible, "You will have to die". His plain declaration snapped Kevin into alert and he tried to wiggle out of the bonds, and cried out in pain, sobbing and thrashing across the wooden chair. Ignoring his painful screams and cries, Eli walked to the leader of his investigation team, "Did you fish out all the information we need?" he asked wiping his finger clean with a handkerchief. "yes Sir", he answered, "Do you have names?" Eli asked impatiently staring into the giant man's eyes unintimidated by his height, "No sir", the giant man muttered "You don't?" Eli asked crossing his arms across his chest and staring at the giant like a psychopath. His eyes shone with malice and pure psychoism which he was personally aware of. "What do you know then?" Eli asked c*****g his head to the side, "Eh?" "Sir, we have enough leads to find out who was behind all this. We will just need a couple of days to track them down", the giant replied in the most composed voice he could manage. "I need a report about everything you've got on this", Eli whispered dangerously, "Don't make me regret hiring you, Jacob. Because if I can hire you to kill someone then I can hire someone else to kill you too" "Yes boss", Jacob gulped but nodded looking into Eli's eyes "Dispose him quietly", Eli ordered before leaving the cottage. He climbed into his car and he was back on the road again. He gave the driver instructions to drive towards the gym, because he needed some weights to blow off some of the steam. He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the backrest, as he relaxed for a minute. Many would find it a crime, but he had to do what he had to do. People like Kevin needed to be disposed of, or else they would come back into him life for vengeance. He did that mistake once, by letting a back-stabber go and his entire family was paying for it. He wouldn't let that happen again. No enemy of his – big or small – deserved to live, and he vowed to make sure of that. Kevin was just the beginning; he had a lot more people to take care of, before his life went back to normal. Kevin being an orphan was just an added bonus, or else he would have to take care of his family too. No, he wouldn't have killed them, but he would have had to create a completely new story to make them believe of his disappearance. But now that he doesn't have any family is just better. It would be easy to kill him and dispose him body. He trusted Jacob and his men, they were pro's in this business and would take care of things without soiling their hands. As he thought of that giant man and how Eli intimidated that giant, his thoughts drifted towards his wife. The intimidating and psychotic man, who could scare dangerous mercenaries like Jacob and make them fear for their life, was actually intimidated by his own wife until a night ago. He chuckled at that thought. An unusual smile tugged at his lips as he wondered how his life would actually be, with Ace by his side. He laughed out loud merrily, startling his driver as various happy images flashed in front of his eyes. Because he didn't mind being intimidated by his wife, not even a bit. He shook his head and sighed, leaning against the head rest. Ace. She was the best thing that happened to him. And if only she knew what he was capable of...
