The next morning, Sierra woke up to a low and chilling howl just outside the window. She woke up with a jolt, as a sudden pain stung her arm in the same spot where she now carried a burn mark.
She slipped out of bed quickly, and headed towards the window. At first, she moved towards the left, until she realized that it wasn’t her own room, and so she moved to the right inside.
Cold air drifted into the room as soon as she lifted the window open. The fog seeped in as well, and Sierra covered her nose from it.
“Down here,” Brandon’s voice came, and she peered downwards to find him standing beneath the window, holding a hoodie for her.
“Why are you up so early?” she asked, rubbing her eyes to clear any bit of sleep that still remained.
