Just as soon as he releases me from his table I rush to Ember's room. I know, for a fact, she isn't sick, she just doesn't want to be in his company. I had to figure out a way to tell her to trust me and involve me in her and her mother's escape plan. Hades is not reading her right. Once she is made queen, she can't leave for any length of time. She will be forever stuck here in this hell. I'm running down the hall as fast as my legs will go, only slowing when passing someone so as to not raise suspicion. I need to get there before Hades chooses to go to bed. The halls seem to grow longer with every step I take. My vision becomes tunneled as I focus on getting there in time to catch her before Hades does. With each step, I rehearse what I'll say when I get there. I don't
