Blaze
I'm sleeping, I know I am. There is no way I would be hiking through the mountains if I were awake, not without my pups, I would never leave them alone. Not right now. Not without their mother, so I have to be dreaming, right? But then why can I feel the heat on my skin when the sun breaks through the trees? Like I'm actually hiking, the pack is heavy on my back, the sweat drips down my face and my clothes are heavy on my skin, boots wet from crossing over streams. My mouth is dry from thirst, even my muscles burn as I head up the mountain, I've never seen before and yet, I know exactly where I am going. Something tells me not to stop to keep going, so I keep pushing, feeling like I have to make haste. I need to get there.. Something important is at the top of this mountain.
