Cody POV:
Jared was furious. 'Why? Why did you let her go? She could get hurt!' he yelled.
'Because I was what was scaring her!' I yelled back. 'I don't like it any more than you do, but I couldn't trap her here! Then she really would be terrified!'
'But we have to make sure she's safe!'
'We will,' I replied. I mind linked my mom. 'Mom? Are you busy?'
'No, son, I'm not,' she immediately replied. 'What's wrong?'
'It's Candi,' I said worriedly. 'Blair was trying to flirt with me earlier, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. I had to force her to stop, and it scared Candi. She had some sort of panic attack and jumped out of the truck and ran off. I would go find her, but it's like she was afraid of me. Can you please find her and make sure she's ok?'
