I couldn't believe what I had witnessed at the restaurant. Candi - and Ashanda - were amazing. My timid little mate was turning into a powerhouse before my very eyes.
'Told you,' Jared said smugly.
'You didn't tell me she was a white wolf,' I retorted.
'That's because that was something you needed to hear from Candi, not me,' he answered. 'Ashanda told me before that, but asked me not to say anything to you just yet.'
I had always known that it was possible for mates' wolves to communicate with each other without involving their human counterparts, but it still seemed weird. I guess that would take some getting used to.
