Chapter 6
There was a quiet tap on the bedroom door. Alexei glanced over at the ornate clock on the baroque mantelpiece. It was only five-thirty. He carefully slid out of bed trying not to wake Donal and walked into the sitting room. Boris poured tea into his glass with two lumps of sugar. On the breakfast table, the house portable phone sat, the hold light blinking.
“Boris?” Alexei called as he belted his robe.
Boris picked the phone from the table and handed to Alexei.
“I’m sorry to disturb you Alpha but I have Vladimir for you. He says it’s an emergency…”
