For the first time in what felt like forever, all the guys met up Saturday night for beer and burgers. Wren had made plans with her co-worker from the pharmacy, so Blake sat beside me, already three drinks in and grinning. Colton had sent Hudson and Madeline out for a dinner date on their own, and Micah didn’t have a woman, same as me.
I should have been ecstatic to get to hang with my friends. Instead, I slouched, toying with the damp label on my beer bottle.
“What’s up your a*s?” Blake asked me.
“Nothing,” Colton replied for me with a snicker, “but if you need a d**k…” He waggled his eyebrows at me.
“f**k off,” I muttered, backhanding the jerk. “You bring that thing near me, and I’ll tell Hudson. He’ll bend you over his knee and redden your a*s for sure.”
