I watched with a proud smile on my lips as my little boy stood on his own and took a few steps towards Elise's daughter, Ivy, "Elise, look at them. They grow up so fast, don't they?" I said, pointing at our kids who were playing in the meadow joyously without care.
I envied their oblivious nature. All they wanted was to have fun and be happy.
Elise followed my finger and smiled at herself, "Yeah, I can't believe they can walk now. Weren't they struggling to crawl like yesterday?" She asked, shaking her head as she took out her camera to snap their picture.
