Ethan drew the curtain open. He remembered how Alex had always loved sleeping with the windows and curtains open.
“Is it the stars, Alex, that make you love doing that?” Ethan had asked once.
“Shut up,” Alex had muttered, and nuzzled into the crook between Ethan’s jaw and collar bone.
“No, tell me. Perhaps we can name one star as ours.”
Alex chortled.
“You’re always so soft, Ethan.”
