A dangerous deal

We were kept in a big cage, I, lali Dean, Malik, and others. I looked at Malik and noticed he was sleeping in my arms,

"What do you think they will do to us".one of the villagers asked in fear,

"Probably sacrifice us to their gods". Another villager replied with fear in his voice

"That's not possible ". I murmured,

"The king will look for a way to save us, I'm very sure of that ". I muttered out those words like I was so sure of it.

Everyone hissed in frustration and kept quiet.

"You" a guard pointed at me,

I move my gaze from him acting like I couldn't hear him

"You, the black skin one, can't you hear me calling you ".he yelled in anger.

"What do you want with me ". I asked in anger.

He chuckled evilly and stared at me with so much anger and hatred.

"I have nothing to do with you, the commander demands your presence this very minute".he muttered out those words as an order and I dragged me out of the cage

"Mama". Malik called out my name,, but before I could answer him, I was dragged away.

They dragged me until we got to a room I presume was the commander's room.

I stared around the room and could see different weapons and amours hanging on the wall.

I gulped nervously and look away.

"Welcome". I heard a strong, rough voice coming from besides me.

I turn around and met eyes with a man with two sets of sea blues eyes, his eyes were so fascinating that I couldn't help but admire.

"I see that you also admire me ".he spoke those words with a big grin on his face.

I hissed softly and look away.

He chuckled softly and took a seat in front of me,

"Please seat ".the word came as an order.

I hesitated for a while before taking the seat in font of him.

"How can I help you ". I asked with irritation.

"Don't you think you have a sharp mouth for a palace maid ?" He spoke those words while staring at me with a big grin on his face.

"I was a palace maid but not anymore ". I muttered out those words in anger.

He scoffed and poured out a drink on his cup

"Do you care to join".he asked while taking a sip of his drink

"Can you just tell me why you brought me here ". I demanded in anger,

"Watch your tongue".he spoke in a calm voice, but I could notice the anger in his voice.

"I brought you here for a reason ".he murmured those words and took another sip of his drink.

"I want to make you an offer ".he said those words while staring at me with his sea blues eyes.

I swallowed nervously and look away.

"I'm not having a deal with a person like you ". I murmured in anger.

He chuckled softly and stared at me with a mischievous smile on his face.

"You don't have a choice ".he expressed those words like he meant it.

I stared at him with anger but did not say a word.

"You once worked for the king,, so you will know what are his weak points. I want you to points out his weak points to me and if they are true, I can keep you among my men, and you will live like royalty”.he muttered out those words with a serious voice.

I stared at him and couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"You want me to tell you the weak points of the king, so you can use it against him ?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, do that, and I guarantee you royalty".he expressed those words like he meant you.

"And what makes you thinks I know the king's weak points ". I asked

"Because you work in the palace ".he spoke up

"I no longer work there it's been three years now, what makes you think I will know the king's weak point".

"Because I know you were the king's personal maid, so definitely you will know a thing about him ".he muttered out those words like he was so sure of it

"Well sorry to disappoint you I don't know anything about the king you are asking the wrong person here ". I responded in anger.

He hissed and roughly ran his fingers through his hair .

"I'm trying my best not to be hard on you, don't make me ".he whispered those words in anger.

I stared at him and look away.

He stared back at me and took a sip of his drink.

"I'll give you for now until night fall to think about it, and make sure you make the right decision for your son's sake ".he muttered out those words as a threat,

"You won't dare ". I spoke angrily

"I won't touch him if you agree to work with me ".he gave me a devilish smile before taking a sip of his drink.

"You can leave ".he ordered

I stared at him with anger and hatred before getting up from the chair.

A guard walked in and pull me out of the room.

He dragged me to the cage and lock me up

"Mama". Malik exclaims happily the moment I was brought back to the cage.

"What does he want ".both Kali and Dean asked the same question.

I hissed softly and stared at them,

"He wants me to tell him the king's weak point since I was the king's personal maid ". I murmured in, tiredly.

"This is bad ".lali murmured

"And the worst part is that he is threatening me with Malik if I don't tell him ". I whisper in pain

"This is bad, what are we going you do".lali asked in fear.

"I don't know, but I will do anything to protect my child" I murmured those words and took in a deep breath.

He was asking for the king's weak point, if only he knew the king weakest weak point is in here in the cage and in my arms.
