Zach was in his office, sitting at his desk, but wanting to jump out of his skin. It had been two days since Brandi had been taken. He hadn't been away from her that long since she'd first stepped into his office what seemed like months ago.
He didn't know if she was okay or scared or how she was feeling, and this would be the last time he was ever in this position. This separation had crystallized things for him. He knew his heart.
