Staring at the computer screen for more than a couple of minutes made Mike’s vision go blurry. He got as far as verifying there was nothing set up to corrupt the files when they were examined. In between several attempts at reading through emails and other info, he did eat a little and drank some water. Mike rubbed his hands down over his face, which really only served to reinforce how crappy he felt. He needed a shower. He’d been in the same clothes for two and half days, which didn’t set any records. He’d gone way longer in some other covert ops but the hotel had a functional shower and he wanted to use it.
