*** Ariana's POV***
I awoke to the sound of birds outside my window. I pulled my letter for my mate out from underneath my pillow. I peeked outside my curtain and saw blue jays and cardinals dotting the branches of the trees. It was such a lovely morning, and I saw my breath fog up the glass. I could not help it, and I drew a picture of a smiley face in my fog.
I chuckled at my own childishness and got dressed for the day. I wore my leggings and leg warmers today because it was pretty cold out. I made my way out into the dark morning. I had my letter clasped closely to my chest as I continued my trek across the forest and towards the old tree. I nestled it securely in the tree trunk and kissed it before continuing my journey to school.
